I was guided to post this card and the post just wrote itself. The ability to release your anger, whether at yourself or others is a major cornerstone to good health, progress and success. Have you ever thought about your sense of belonging when you were growing up? Were you part of a tight family unit where you felt safe, cared for and a part of something? To one degree or another, most of us did not, and this has a life long impact that we are sadly often unaware of.
Many of us on a spiritual path feel separate by the choices we make and by doing so we are unconsciously creating thicker walls. As we dive deeply into alternative lifestyles of vegetarianism, meditation, chakra clearing, oracle card readings, reiki, spirit animals, art therapy, macrobiotic diets and on and on it goes, these choices can accentuate existing feelings of separation. Being part of a group is essential to our health and happiness; it fosters a deep sense of belonging.
I was recently listening to Dr. Mona Lisa Schultz, an MD and medical intuitive, and she recommends doing things that make you feel part of “the herd” if you have back problems, skin conditions or anxiety (this has a connection to our root chakra). She offers refreshing and unusual “prescriptions” to better our health alongside the traditional medications we would normally use. She says we should read a little current events to have something to contribute in casual conversation with family members and co-workers rather than feeling isolated by being out of the loop. Also, to update a few pieces of your wardrobe to the latest style and know that is beneficial to your health to foster that sense of belonging.
You are perfect just as you are and you don’t have to compromise your values by understanding that a little mainstream activity in your world will benefit your goals in your off-the-beaten-path lifestyle. Forgiveness involves non-judgmental behaviour and as they say, different strokes for different folks.
Today, as you release old anger and resentments you can take your temperature on your sense of belonging. What can you tweak to allow yourself more connection and easier communications in your life? How can you release old feelings and behaviour that blocks your ability to “belong” in your current life? I always love writing a letter, poem or song and burning it, but you will know what works best for you to release old feelings for good!
Let is go and live in the present moment. Dwelling in the past is not where your life is. Let your love shine light a blazing light of glory so you can really move forward. Be aware that you can be your own soft place to fall when you life gets off track. Amazing things await you today and tomorrow.
